Exporting patients and examinations

Introduction

The "exporting patients and examinations" feature exports data in a .ZIP compressed file.

This feature can be used to send a patient's data to a recipient who has a computer with GPS5 installed.

Note:

Exported data cannot be sent to a recipient who has a computer with GPS4 installed because data are not compatible with older versions.
This feature is not designed to save data because exported data do not include GPS configuration files. (See save data)

Select Button

The button allows you to open the selecting patients and examinations window where you can select the patients and examinations to export.

Export destination file

The button allows you to select the folder and the name of the .ZIP file that will contain the exported data; if the file already exists, it will be overwritten.

Open folder Button

The button allows you to open the folder that will contain the exported file.

Export options

Exporting personal data Option

If the option is enabled, personal data will be exported; if disabled, anonymous codes will be adopted instead of patients' full name to safeguard their privacy. (See next option)

Initial code for the names of anonymous patients

This field is enabled only if the previous option is disabled; in this case, an initial alphanumeric code can be set to replace the exported patients' full name. For instance, if you specify 'Test', the first exported patient will be called 'Test1', the second 'Test2' and so on.

Exporting examination data Option

If this option is enabled, examinations and measurements data will be exported, except photos (see next option).

Exporting photos Option

If this option is enabled, photos related to examinations will be exported.

Export Button

Export will be based on set options and selections; a statistical data window will be displayed at the end of the operation.
