The plantar ratio calculated is the ratio between two measurements on the contact area of the foot soles.
Example of plantar ratio calculation:
The resulting numerical value has no units of measurement, being dimensionless. It is a value indicating the type of contact of the foot sole, which can be divided into three groups:
Value |
Description |
from 0 to 0.3 |
concave foot |
from 0.3 to 0.37 |
normal foot |
over 0.37 |
flatfoot |
How to perform the measurement
After selecting the operation to perform, either on the right or the left foot, the mouse pointer will change its appearance, a floating text and an icon displaying the point to click (which will be blinking) will appear, as in the following example:
Proceed to click all four points; the final calculation is displayed on the image, as in the first example.
