The GPS software is free of viruses or other malware, however, some anti-virus programs may detect is as a "false positive".
Any software can be a "false positive", that is, software that the anti-virus considers malicious, even though it is not.
False positives may depend on:
To resolve these problems there are 2 main methods described below.
Configure the anti-virus program so that it does not check the GPS program folder
Normally the anti-virus software can be configured to exclude scanning the files and folders you do not want scanned.
In the case of GPS, the program folder can be identified from the main GPS menu (also see: Folders and GPS folders and files) :
Tools > Folders > Open program folder.
