Calibration of linear measurement must be performed before one of the following operations:


Calibration is necessary for calculating linear measurements in millimeters or centimeters over the image acquired.


A physical support on the image whose length in millimeters is known can be used as calibration reference.

Calibration is performed by clicking two reference points.

Then, the real distance between the two reference points must be specified in the next window.


Example:


In the example above, the reference is given by the distance between the two vertical supports whose real distance (80.00 cm) is known.
