Sending information to the GPS Technical Support is a function used in two different ways:

Information can be sent by Internet or in a file. The two methods are described in details below.

Details and comments to be sent to the technical support

If the window was opened automatically following an error, this field is completed automatically with the error text.

If the window was opened via the menu, details of the problem must be put in this field, as well as the sequence of operations that gave rise to the problem, or your comments, suggestions, or proposals for improvement.

-mail address for receiving communications from the technical support

Use this field to indicate the e-mail address to be used for you to receive replies from the technical support.

Options in relation to additional files to be sent

Include log files

The log files are specific files that record some passages when running a program.

They are useful to the Technical Support to better identify any problem or malfunction.

Include configuration files

Configuration files are files that record some configuration choices for the GPS software. (Also see GPS folders and files)

They are useful to the Technical Support to better identify any problem or malfunction.

Include the entire data folder, including the database and photographs

Include all data on examinations, patients and photographs.

This option is not preset and must only be set in particular cases, such as when specifically requested by the technical support.

The entire data folder could be very big, and so sending it could take a long time

Destination related options

Sending information via the Internet

This option can be used when the PC is connected to the Internet

       Destination

This field is used to choose the destination site for sending the information.

Normally this choice does not have to be made, because the default site is the most valid.

You can choose an alternative destination site when an error message is displayed because the default site is not available.

Creating a file containing the information

This option can be used when the PC is not connected to the Internet.

In this case a .ZIP file can be created that contains the information to be sent.

The .ZIP file created in this way can be copied to another PC connected to the internet and sent to the e-mail address:  support@globalposturalsystem.com

       Destination

This field is used to specify the destination folder in which the .ZIP file is to be created.

Destination file name

This field is set automatically.

If there is already a .ZIP file with the same name, a different name will be created using a progressive number.

Send Button

When the Send button is pushed, the information is sent to the technical support, or the .ZIP files are created.

Sending data manually

If it is not possible to send the data using the procedure described above, the operations can be done manually.

The data to be sent is saved in the Data folder, described in GPS folders and files.

To send the content of the folder, it is useful to use the Windows folder compression or some other compression program.

To compress the folders using Windows folder compression, simply proceed as follows:

Once compression has been completed, send the .ZIP file to the e-mail address: support@globalposturalsystem.com

If the file is too big to send by e-mail, use another method such as a service making it available via the website: http://wwwb.fileflyer.com.
