Updating the program from the internet

The program can check for updates on the internet either at start-up or at the user's choice from the main menu.

Example:

Automatic check at GPS start-up

This option (Control automatically when the GPS ...) allows enabling or disabling the check at GPS start-up.

When this option is enabled, a check mark √ appears in the check box next to it.

Version Check Panel

This panel (Version Control) shows information about the current GPS version and the one available on the internet.

Version History

Clicking the "Version History" link will open the webpage containing a history of changes made to the GPS software.

Run update Button

The button is enabled if a newer version of GPS is available on the internet.

The new version will be downloaded from the internet and then installed by clicking this button (see Installing the GPS).
