Linear calibration

Introduction

The linear calibration related to  Advanced Balance  is used to calculate linear measurement values, e.g. the curve length in millimeters (see Numeric values).

When to perform linear calibration

Linear calibration needs to be carried out only once, when configuring the system for the first time.

It may be necessary to repeat this operation after changing some configuration parameters that may affect linear measurements. For instance, linear calibration must be repeated after changing the zoom factor for photo acquisition, since this will result in a change in the ratio between the photo pixels and the size in millimeters.
