Introduction
The "importing patients and examinations" feature imports data coming from:
Import from GPS4 − Warnings
To import data from GPS4 to GPS5, it is advisable to use the import data from a previous version procedure.
To import data from two or more GPS4 computers, see import from more computers.
Data can be imported, anyway, from GPS4 to GPS5, but not all of them − for instance, the PoData linear calibration (see PoData linear calibration) cannot be imported.
To import from GPS4, you will only have to select the Export.XML file generated by the GPS4 export, instead of a .ZIP file as the one suggested automatically.

The button allows you to select the .ZIP or .XML file to import: data exported by exporting patients and examinations entered in GPS5 will be contained in a file with .ZIP extension, while those entered in GPS4 in a file with .XML extension.
Open folder Button
The button allows you to open the folder that contains the file that will be imported.
Import options
Importing personal data Option
If the option is enabled, personal data will be imported; if disabled, anonymous codes will be adopted instead of patients' full name to safeguard their privacy.
This option is meaningless if the data being imported were generated with the Exporting personal data Option enabled.
Importing examination data Option
If this option is enabled, examinations and measurements data will be imported, except photos (see next option).
Importing photos Option
If this option is enabled, photos related to examinations will be imported.
Patients and examinations to import
Select Button
The button is used to open the selecting patients and examinations window where you can select the patients and examinations to import.
Import Button
Import will be based on set options and selections; a statistical data window will be displayed at the end of the operation.
