Webcam configuration has significantly changed from GPS4 to GPS5.

In GPS4, webcam configuration data are written within the examination itself. This offers complete freedom to import patients and examinations between PCs configured with different types of webcams. There are, however, some drawbacks: for example, end users may find it difficult to understand this option.

In GPS5, webcam configuration (which is now referred to as configuring the Types of photo) is defined at system level and not at the examination level as before. This means that all examinations refer to one configuration.

When importing patients and examinations, the configuration for the Types of photo is updated by adding the new types of photo necessary for importing examinations.
